The Confederation
Convict Provictus
Redeemer’s lives tend to be short. In their pursuit of forgiveness, they hurl themselves into battle in an attempt to gain the favour of the Council. Those who survive and succeed where all others have failed are elevated to the rank of Provictus and in doing so they are granted far more than fame and attention. The additional tech and weaponry afforded to them is almost the same quality as Gritguard, the loyal soldiers of the Confederation. With their new frames, they whip around their enemies with unnatural speed and grace as foes appear to simply melt before them. From afar they send bolts of swirling force into their targets and their presence on the field is a boon to all who see them. Provictus are revered among the Convicts and for good reason. They have risen to the peak of redemption and await the Council’s pardon. Unfortunately, to this day, no Provictus has managed to complete their sentence and gain the freedom they yearn for. All have fallen in glorious battle shortly before their release but still, in their deaths, they are immortalised by the Council’s decree.
There are many Provictus currently in service, most employed into the thickest of fighting. The most revered of these is Sakarn the Breacher. Sakarn is a veteran of the Gragon Line battles that rage between all factions in the West. Uncompromising and fearless, they have been known to charge headlong into the enemy, preferring close combat to range amidst the burning towers of the old settlement. Unlike others who share the rank, Sakarn no longer wishes for freedom, having turned down the Council’s offer of a final mission before forgiveness. Instead, painted in bright colours that contrast the dark surroundings and projecting immense noise to attract enemies, they fight endlessly to feed their lust to impress their masters.
