About the miniature
The Brood Flayer is a dominant Para Host organism that hunts alongside Gore Worms and Lashers. While lesser Host forms pursue heat, movement and biological matter through instinct, the Brood Flayer imposes a single predatory will upon the surrounding brood.
Lean, fast and difficult to disable, the Brood Flayer remains among the organisms it controls rather than directing them from safety. Its flaying talons are formed from reassigned bone and hardened tissue, allowing it to tear open armour, dismember prey and create fresh biological matter for the brood.

On the battlefield
The Brood Flayer is a fast close-combat leader designed to advance within a mass of Gore Worms or Lashers. Its presence turns the surrounding organisms into a coordinated hunting pack capable of surrounding prey, exploiting openings and overwhelming isolated targets.
Keep the Brood Flayer embedded within its brood as the formation advances, allowing the lesser creatures to expose threats and absorb danger. When a vulnerable target appears, send the Flayer forward to tear it apart while the rest of the brood closes around the enemy.
