Stunned Units

Description

A unit becomes Stunned if it suffers damage greater than its Resolve from a single source while carrying out a command.

When a unit becomes Stunned, it immediately gains the Shoot, Run, and Defend restrictions.

Expanded Description

A unit is carrying out a command from the moment that command is declared until that command is complete.

A command declared in response to another command or event still counts as a command.

If older material refers to a reaction, treat that as a command declared in response.

Only damage from a single source is checked when determining whether a unit becomes Stunned. Do not combine damage from separate sources unless a rule specifically says otherwise.

Stun restrictions are removed at the end of the turn unless another rule specifically says otherwise.

A Stunned unit cannot declare Rally until the stun effect ends.

Example

A unit is carrying out a command.

During that command, it suffers damage from a single attack.

If that damage is greater than the unit’s Resolve, the unit becomes Stunned.

The unit immediately gains the Shoot, Run, and Defend restrictions.

Those restrictions remain until the end of the turn unless another rule removes or changes them.
