Special Rules
Blood Craze
Blood Craze can double a unit's melee attacks when friendly Horde models are nearby. If the bonus creates excess damage, that damage must be redirected into eligible friendly Horde models.
Blood Craze is an Asylumists faction or army-package special rule.
Attack Bonus
When this unit resolves melee attacks, if at least one friendly Horde model is within 1 inch of this unit, this unit may double the Att value of its melee weapons for that melee.
Damage Redirect
Blood Craze creates a rule-specific exception for excess or unused melee damage.
If Blood Craze attacks destroy all eligible enemy models before all melee damage generated by those attacks has been assigned or applied, the attacking player must redirect the remaining excess or unused melee damage into eligible friendly Horde models within 1 inch of this unit.
If more than one eligible friendly Horde model could receive the redirected damage, the attacking player chooses which eligible friendly Horde model receives each redirected damage assignment.
Resolve redirected damage through the normal damage framework unless this rule explicitly states otherwise.
Redirected damage can contribute to the affected Horde unit's Sustained Damage pool.
Limits
Blood Craze does not redirect damage unless the unit used the Blood Craze Att bonus for that melee.
Blood Craze does not change melee timing, target legality, damage allocation against enemy models, Critical Damage, Sustained Damage, or casualty removal except for the explicit friendly Horde damage redirect described above.
Example
A unit or weapon with Blood Craze meets the rule's stated condition. Blood Craze is an Asylumists faction or army-package special rule. Once those steps are complete, play continues normally.
