About the miniature
Corpse Spitters are unstable ranged organisms formed during the Host’s Imperfect stage. Created from incomplete remains, their anatomy is violently reorganised into a crude firing structure: limbs become supports, body cavities become pressure chambers and bone forms channels for launching hardened biological projectiles.
Each Corpse Spitter is a living weapon rather than a creature carrying one. Bracing themselves among fresh casualties, they launch volleys across the battlefield while their ruined bodies continue to reorganise around the damage they suffer.

On the battlefield
Corpse Spitters provide long-range support for a Host force, launching volleys of biological projectiles while more aggressive organisms close upon the enemy. Position them where they can watch an important approach or target defended positions from relative safety.
Their attacks introduce disruptive Host matter into the target area, making them ideal for softening enemy formations and creating opportunities for the rest of the Host. Keep them behind your advancing creatures and force the enemy to choose between confronting the oncoming swarm or enduring continued bombardment.
