Special Rules
Borer
When rolling damage for a weapon with Borer, roll a number of damage dice equal to the HP value of the eligible model that damage is being assigned to, up to a maximum of 6 dice per successful Target Lock.
How Borer works
When rolling damage for a weapon with Borer, roll a number of damage dice equal to the HP value of the eligible model that damage is being assigned to, up to a maximum of 6 dice per successful Target Lock.
If damage has not yet been assigned to a specific model, use the HP value of the closest eligible model that would receive that damage under Damage Allocation.
Borer changes the number of damage dice rolled. It does not change Target Limit, damage allocation, Sustained Damage, Critical Damage, or model removal timing unless another rule explicitly states otherwise.
Example
A unit or weapon with Borer meets the rule's stated condition. When rolling damage for a weapon with Borer, roll a number of damage dice equal to the HP value of the eligible model that damage is being assigned to, up to a maximum of 6 dice per successful Target Lock. Once those steps are complete, play continues normally.
