Table Setup
Follow the steps in the Setup section in ../setup/setup_rules.md.
After rolling off to decide who goes first, place six tokens at least 12" from any table edge and 12" apart.
The player going first places the first token, then players alternate placing one token at a time until all six tokens have been placed.
Unit Setup
The player going first deploys first.
Use the model coherency and unit spacing requirements from Battle Formations in scenario_modules.md.
Deployment must occur within 12" of the controlling player's table edge and within 12" of that player's assigned deployment corner.
Each player's deployment corner is the corner on their own table edge.
After this, the opposing player deploys their units under the same restrictions.
If all units cannot be placed within 12", the player must deploy them by placing a single model from the unit at their table edge.
Once that unit is activated, deploy the rest of the unit after the placed model has moved away.
These units cannot interact with any other unit, friend or foe, until they have fully deployed.
Special Rules
Hoarder
During a turn, except Turn 1, a unit must pick up one objective if it activates or ends its activation within 2" of that objective and is able to carry it.
A unit cannot pick up more than one objective during the same activation.
If a unit is within 2" of more than one objective token when it must pick one up, that unit's controlling player chooses one eligible token to pick up.
The token is assigned to the unit and is placed nearby whenever the unit moves to show possession.
Units cannot carry more tokens than their Threat Cost.
A Threat 1 unit can only carry 1 objective.
Split units can carry objectives separately.
Dropping Objectives
When a unit with an objective token is destroyed, place the token where the final model was removed.
The token continues as if it had not been picked up.
Victory Conditions
Winner Takes It All
At the end of Turn 3, the player with the most objectives on their units wins.
Annihilation
Use Annihilation from scenario_modules.md.
