Detonate

This model does not roll attacks in melee.

Before any melee attacks are rolled, this model detonates:

• Every model in base contact with this model takes D3 direct rule damage.
• Remove this model immediately, even during simultaneous melee.
• Because this model is removed before enemy attacks are rolled, enemy attacks cannot be assigned into this model.

Detonate self-removal does not trigger Death Strike or other "when slain" or "when removed" effects unless another rule explicitly states that self-removal counts for that effect.

If Detonate removes the engagement, the normal global post-command melee timing check simply finds no melee to resolve there.
