Operational Data, or OPDAT, is the approved structure for VoidSiege unit-card fields.

It defines what information a unit profile should contain.

Expanded Description

OPDAT describes unit cards, weapons, and listed unit rules.

It does not define the mechanics of weapons, special rules, commands, damage, movement, scenarios, army construction, AI behaviour, or simulation-only assumptions unless another approved file specifically says so.

Each OPDAT unit profile should include:

• Unit Name
• Faction
• Threat Cost
• Unit Size
• Class
• Move
• Resolve
• HP
• Weapons
• Special Rules

Optional fields may also be used where the source OPDAT or approved unit card provides them, such as Tags, Aliases, Source, Status, or Notes.

Weapons in OPDAT list their own card information, such as weapon name, type, range, rate of fire or attacks, Force, and weapon extensions.

If an OPDAT lists a weapon trait or special rule, the rule mechanics belong in the relevant rule section. OPDAT should normally reference the rule name only, not restate the full rule.
