Special Rules
Detonate
This model does not roll attacks in melee.
How Detonate works
This model does not roll attacks in melee.
Before any melee attacks are rolled, this model detonates:
- Every model in base contact with this model takes D3 direct rule damage.
- Remove this model immediately, even during simultaneous melee.
- Because this model is removed before enemy attacks are rolled, enemy attacks cannot be assigned into this model.
Detonate self-removal does not trigger Death Strike or other "when slain" or "when removed" effects unless another rule explicitly states that self-removal counts for that effect.
If Detonate removes the engagement, the normal global post-command melee timing check simply finds no melee to resolve there.
Example
A unit or weapon with Detonate meets the rule's stated condition. This model does not roll attacks in melee. Once those steps are complete, play continues normally.
