Dice
VoidSiege uses six-sided dice (D6).
D3
To roll a D3:
- Roll a D6.
- Divide the result by 2, rounding up.
Rolling Off
When players are instructed to roll off, each involved player rolls 1D6.
The highest roll wins the roll-off.
If two or more players tie for the highest roll, only the tied players roll again until there is a single winner.
Roll And Result
A roll is the number shown on the die before modifiers are applied.
A result is the final value after all applicable modifiers have been applied to the roll.
When a rule cares about the natural die face, use the roll.
When a rule cares about the modified final value, use the result.
Attribute Test
- Roll a D6.
- If the result is equal to or below the attribute, the test succeeds.
- A roll of 6 always fails unless otherwise stated.
Opposed Resolution
- Some rules compare values or successful rolls between two units.
- Resolve these comparisons using the specific rules for that system.
Ownership Notes
- Target Lock tests are defined in
core/target_lock.md. - Damage rolls are defined in
core/damage.md. - Melee comparisons are defined in the relevant melee or close combat rules.
- Modifiers are defined in
