Fracture

A Fracture weapon creates an explosion whenever one of its damage rolls reaches 6 or higher after modifiers. Each explosion uses a 3-inch blast template and cannot cause another Fracture explosion.

How Fracture works

If a damage roll of 6+ is achieved (6 or higher, including mods), it causes an explosion:

  • Place a 3 inch blast template over the closest enemy model in the target unit.
  • All models even partially under the template are eligible models for this Fracture damage. This overrides Target Limit and closest-model allocation for those template-affected models.
  • Roll 1 damage die against each model under the template.
  • Fracture damage inherits the original attack's model removal timing.
  • If the weapon has RoF or Att 2 or more, resolve each explosion separately.
  • Explosions caused by this effect cannot trigger further explosions (no chain reaction).

> Example: If a Fracture weapon rolls two successful 6+ damage results, resolve two separate explosions. Damage caused by those explosions cannot trigger another Fracture explosion.

Example

If a Fracture weapon rolls two successful 6+ damage results, resolve two separate explosions. Damage caused by those explosions cannot trigger another Fracture explosion.
