How it works

Some vehicle weapons have a Field of Fire listed on their profile.

Field of Fire modifies how Line of Sight is checked for that weapon. It does not change range, legal target restrictions, Cover, Target Lock, shooting restrictions, or damage unless the weapon profile or another rule explicitly states otherwise.

Types

Turret

For that weapon, Line of Sight is measured from the weapon.

(X) Face

For that weapon, Line of Sight is measured from the listed facing.

Halo

For that weapon, Line of Sight is not required to choose a target.

Halo ignores only the Line of Sight requirement for that weapon. The attack must still satisfy range, target legality, shooting restrictions, Cover interaction, Target Lock, and damage rules unless another rule explicitly states otherwise.
