Command Tokens

How it works

A Command Token is placed when a command is issued to a unit.

Command Tokens track that a command has been issued and may also show restrictions applied by that command.

Placing Tokens

When a command is issued:

1. Spend the required Command Point.
2. Place the appropriate Command Token for the command.
3. Resolve the command according to its timing.
4. Apply any restrictions the command states.

Spoils Of War Token

The Spoils of War Token is the Command Token placed for the command issued with the last Command Point available in the turn.

The Spoils of War Token is not a separate command type or extra token system.

Use Points for the Spoils of War Command Point rule.

Restriction Display

If a command applies one or more restrictions, the token should show those restrictions.

If a command applies no restrictions, place the token using the no-restriction face or marker.

Token And Restriction Separation

A Command Token is not itself a restriction unless a rule explicitly states otherwise.

Restrictions are applied only if the command or another rule states that they are applied.

End Of Turn

Unless another rule states otherwise, Command Tokens are collected at the end of the turn after all Command Points have been spent and end-of-turn effects have resolved.

Example

A player gives an eligible unit the Command Tokens command. A Command Token is placed when a command is issued to a unit. Once those steps are complete, play continues normally.
