Templates

Templates show the area affected by certain weapons and abilities. Place the required template as instructed by the rule, then check which models are within or underneath it.

Template types

VoidSiege uses these standard templates:

Explosive: a 3-inch blast template.
High Explosive: a 5-inch blast template.
Dispersion: an 8-inch teardrop template.

Placing a template

Place the template in the position required by the weapon, ability, or rule that created the effect. That rule may also give additional restrictions on its position or direction.

Affected models

The relevant weapon or rule explains which models within or under the template are affected. Resolve the effect separately for each affected model unless that rule says otherwise.

Example

An Explosive weapon tells the player to place a 3-inch blast template. After placing it as required by the weapon, the player checks every model within or under the template. Each affected model then resolves the weapon's effect separately unless the weapon says to use another method.
