Templates

Description

Templates are used to work out which models are affected by an area effect.

They are placed when a rule or weapon effect tells you to use one.

Expanded Description

Some effects in VoidSiege affect an area instead of only one model. These effects use a template.

There are three template types:

Template Size
Explosive 3″ blast template
High Explosive 5″ blast template
Dispersion 8″ teardrop template

When a template is placed, every model within or under that template is affected, unless the rule that placed the template says otherwise.

Effects are resolved individually for each affected model unless another rule says otherwise.

The rule or weapon effect that creates the template tells you how to place it.

Example

A weapon uses the Explosive rule.

That weapon places a 3″ blast template as described by its rule.

Every model within or under that template is affected.

Each affected model then resolves the effect individually.
