Vehicles

Description

Vehicles use the normal VoidSiege rules unless a vehicle rule specifically states otherwise.

Vehicle rules act as exceptions to the core rules rather than replacing them.

Expanded Description

Vehicles follow the normal rules for movement, shooting, melee, damage, line of sight, cover, and command timing unless a vehicle-specific rule changes how those rules work.

A vehicle profile may include:

  • Type
  • Move
  • Shield
  • Resolve
  • HP
  • Facings
  • Weapons
  • Field of Fire

Vehicles use Shield as their main defensive value where vehicle rules require it.

Vehicles still use Resolve and HP when a vehicle rule specifically calls for them.

Vehicle damage replaces the normal damage procedure when attacking vehicles unless another rule explicitly states otherwise.

Vehicle-specific rules also cover areas such as facings, field of fire, terrain interaction, vehicle commands, and special rules.

Example

A vehicle is targeted by an enemy attack.

The attack follows the normal shooting rules.

When damage is resolved, the game switches to the vehicle damage rules instead of the normal damage procedure.

If the attack requires a Shield value, the vehicle uses its Shield characteristic.

If a vehicle rule specifically refers to Resolve or HP, those values are used instead.
